Hi, my name is Lana. I am a wife, a mom, a social worker for children and families and the owner of Myjoius LLC. However, the journey it took to get here is one that will never be forgotten.

 

In May 2019 , I became engaged to my now Husband. In November 2019, my father had succumb to cancer.  Not only would he not be able to walk me down the isle...just four days after his passing, I discovered I was unexpectedly pregnant.

 

Prior to this pleasant surprise, doctors told me that I would not be able to conceive or carry a child due to several large fibroid tumors in my uterus. Yet, it happened.

Shortly three months later, the entire world was in the middle of a pandemic. I was not able to see loved ones and every fantasy I had about being pregnant with my first child no longer existed. Not only was I pregnant, and mourning my father, but we also had a wedding to plan for 2021.

​

During the Summer of 2020 ,despite the odds, and a very critical birthing process , our daughter was born happy and healthy.  However, a couple months later, Post Partum Depression was beginning to set in.

 

By April 2021, six months later , after a c-section and three months away from our wedding, I was set up to have a Abdominal Myomectomy (Major Surgery) for the removal of 17 plus fibroids (I still can not believe I carried a baby full term while having 17 + fibroids).

 

The Surgery was a success, but the depression lingered.

By November 2021, the depression increased.

​

By February 2022, it became hard to be present as a mom, as a wife and as a career woman. I could no longer function and nor did I want to ...  so something had to be done.

​

As a social worker, I have always envisioned myself doing something impactful to society. I took time off. Worked on my mental health and self care and during that growth process...
